Some authors write that the village of Nesseltal was an independent parish by the year 1400.
The village of Nesseltal was the largest village within the parish of Nesseltal. The village
is located in a beautiful valley, surrounded by mountains and forests.
The Catholic
Church, which can be seen in this postcard, was destroyed in the 1950s. A cemetery, located
a short distance from the village, is in use today, and many Gottscheer surnames can be
found on the gravestones. A chapel at the cemetery has been renovated. Homes destroyed
during the war are being renovated.
In the late 1990s, the road from Kocevje (Gottschee city)
to Koprivnik (Nesseltal) was paved.
